To Do List

>> Tuesday, November 20, 2007

I read that someone on blogger posted her "To Do List" and they were published as a book.
My to do list for this week (apart from spending time with close family and friends) is:

1. Getting happily high on life
2. Sending our c.d.'s in the post to far away places like France, Australia, and on the contrary meeting others in San Antonio to get them their c.d.
3. Taking a trip to local radio stations with new c.d. in hand
4. Get press release for the new album
5. Get at least 6 hours of sleep if lucky!
6. Get press kits to local awaiting parties.
7. Book shows for what's left of the holiday season
8. Practice with band, did i mention pay the bills!
9. follow up on possible gigs to be booked
10. last but not least breathe, and remember to show your loved ones they are loved

Maybe one day someone will turn my to do list into a book, NOT :p

New album on Amazon.com

>> Monday, November 19, 2007

Ledaswan's new album is available to buy on amazon.com as a DRM free mp3 download for only $6.23 for the whole album ($0.89 per song). The service is brand new and works very well adding the music to your itunes library immediately after your download finishes. Plus did I mentions its DRM free? So you can add this to any mp3 player, burn it to disc as many times as you like, play it on multiple computers, ...etc. It will also be available on all Itunes stores in January at the higher price of $0.99 per track. Thanks for your support. And if you buy the album, let us know how you like it.

c.d. release blues

>> Saturday, November 17, 2007

We had our c.d. release and it's finally done! all the hard work we put into it, and we finally were able to hold it in our hands and sell it to our friends and fans last night. There are so many elements involved in the making of your very own c.d., money being the obvious. Apart from that there is the emotion, time, creative highs, creative lows, all adding up to a little healthy emotion we call stress. Today I just feel totally wiped out. I think we all felt wiped out juggling practice, last minute c.d. details, and our regular day jobs all the week prior to the release. We got a lot of press which is good. We were expecting more of a turnout considering the flyering and press we got. regardless people were there to see us play, and we didn't just have a bunch of people not paying attention or just going through the motions. All eyes and eyes were on us.

So where do we go from here? I begin to ask myself this question. With such a great c.d. well I guess we just want to play more shows and get it to as many people as possible. We are selling it on amazon.com for those who don't live in San Antonio and for those that are overseas. We also do paypal if you are a tactile person and want something to touch in your hands.

It seems we are slowly gaining fans one by one, which is great. Other times it can be discouraging when nobody is paying attention. But I think we would all play music alone or in front of 500 people. although 500 people might be really asking for it. I felt nervous last night in front of 25 people, all eyes on you. So again, what's better the chicken or the egg? Wait no, i meant which comes first... thy chicken or thy egg? The double edged sword is what life seems to be hinting to these days. I think after all the excitement of last night and anticipation gone, I'm feeling a bit low. Waiting for the next musical high.
